It’s Vintage Time!

Inspired by the amazing and iconic work of Robert McGinnis.

(McGinnis did the famous Breakfast at Tiffany’s poster, several James Bond posters, and the Barbarella poster that hangs in my room.)

I can’t do realistic portraits like McGinnis, so I tried to emulate the style of the backgrounds and the text.

One of my personal heroes, Fred Seibert is responsible for the brilliant and iconic style of early MTV, Pen Ward’s Adventure Time, NextNewNetworks, Frederator Studios, and the creation of Tumblr itself. Is it any wonder why MTV and NextNewNetworks are essentially my dream jobs? The least I could contribute, in exchange for a beacon of creative insanity amidst the messy insanity of New Media, was a doodle. Keep doing what you do, Fred. You keep me feeling young, and I’m only 19.
